Lennar Riverwoods Subdivision Info
Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Lennar Riverwoods proposed development off of Doty & Lucas Road. We have many concerns about this proposed community; safety concerns, environmental issues, property values & other affects it will have on current homeowners in the area.
Important Dates:
Thursday, November 30th at 7pm- Neighborhood Meeting- Gunnar Gitlin's Office- 663 E Calhoun St, Woodstock- please come to learn more about the development, voice concerns & help form a plan of action.
Thursday, December 14th at 7pm- Woodstock Plan Meeting- City Hall- 121 W. Calhoun St, Woodstock- it is important for as many people as possible to attend & voice concerns about the development.

Here are some key points:
-320 homes proposed on 135 acres
-244 Single Family Homes, 76 Duplexes
-Proposed annexation of 2 parcels of land on Lucas Road- currently County, to be annexed into Woodstock
-Subdivision was proposed back in 2006-2008- but only single family homes, not using the two McHenry County parcels off of Lucas Rd as they are now being proposed for duplexes
-Entrances off of Lucas Road and Memorial Drive by the hospital
-Lennar wants to use a tree survey dates 2006
-Many "high quality trees" are slated to be removed
-According to Natural Resources Information Report- the majority of the soil is Hydric Soil and is advised not to build on
-Lennar is asking for a $1.8 million reduction in impact fees
-Lennar is asking for smaller roads & smaller lots sizes
-The majority of the green space proposed will be retention area
